From the french language the words ROZ and EL are joind to refer to the tower by the water.
Records show that Hugh Bertrand signed documents as Hugh lord of Roz El. (Le Rozel or Du Rozel)
Decendants of the Lord Du Rozel have addopted Rozel/Roszel as their family name.
